After graduating from Southwestern College with a B.A. in Business and Economics, Rick spent several years in a stocker-feeder cattle and dry land farming operation. He began this operation with his father and continued later on his own. He eventually dropped the farming part of his operation and became involved in commercial feed manufacturing. Rick also spent some time as a loan analyst.
He first became involved with the futures in the late 1970's and when the opportunity to become a broker presented itself, he readily accepted, and joined Schwieterman, Inc. He resides in Ashland, Kansas with his wife, Terry. Outside of work he enjoys hunting, golf, and traveling with his wife.
